Questions About Registration

  • I just became a member or renewed my membership. When I register, it still shows me as a non-member.
    Please wait at least 24 hours after updating your membership before registering to ensure you receive the proper registration rate.

  • When can I register for the 2024 World Congress on Pain?
    Registration is available now. Register by 1 April for the Early Bird discount.

  • How do I cancel my registration?
    Registration cancellations received by 22 July 2024 will receive a complete refund, less a $100 USD processing fee.

  • Can I make a change to my registration?
    All registrants can modify their registration using their confirmation number.

  • What is VAT and how does it relate to Tax Exempt?
    VAT is a European tax. U.S. tax-exempt status does not apply. If you or your company has a registered VAT number, you may be able to claim a VAT refund.

  • What is included in the cost of my registration?
    Access to all plenary sessions, topical workshops, social events, and the mobile conference app. Full Congress registrants also receive access to session recordings.

  • Can I register on-site?
    On-site registration is available, but advance registration is strongly encouraged. Early Bird discounts are typically offered for those who register before the deadline.

Questions About Housing

  • How do I book in the IASP hotel block?
    The official hotel block is managed through RAI Hotel Services only.

  • I received an email from GTE Reservations about booking. Is this legitimate?
    No. RAI Hotel Services is the only authorized housing provider. Other companies are not affiliated with IASP and may be scams.

Questions About Exhibitors and Supporters

  • Where can I find information on available support opportunities?
    All exhibitor and support options are on the Exhibitors and Supporters page.

  • What are the Exhibit Hall hours?
    - 5 August: 18:00–20:00 (Welcome Reception)
    - 6–8 August: 09:00–17:00 (Open daily)

  • When can exhibitors set up and break down their booths?
    Setup: 4–5 August; Breakdown: 8–9 August

  • How do I order furniture and services?
    Through the RAI Amsterdam Web Shop, opening late March.

  • When will the exhibitor manual be ready?
    Available late March.

  • How do I register booth staff?
    Login to ExpoGenie using the credentials from your welcome email. Use the “register booth staff” section.

  • How do I send in my logo?
    Upload through your task list in ExpoGenie. File must be under 150MB.

  • Is there a discounted rate for nonprofits?

  • When will I receive a decision about my poster abstract?

  • When can I submit a late-breaking abstract?

  • How do I make changes to my poster?

  • When will poster specs be available?
    By mid-May; emailed to all presenting authors.

  • When will I be notified of my presentation date and time?
    In late May or early June.

Questions About Financial Aid

  • When can I apply for financial aid?
    Applications will open soon.

  • When will I receive a decision?
    By August 2026.
