In-Depth and Multidisciplinary Presentations

SIG Symposia at the IASP World Congress on Pain provide an opportunity for in-depth and multidisciplinary presentations and discussions on a single, specific research or educational topic within the pain field.

These symposia are 3.5 to 4 hours in length and should have no more than eight speakers. If necessary for the learning scope and objectives, the faculty can be increased; however, this is provided as general guidance.

SIG Symposia will be presented on 26 October 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand. You must be a SIG leader or provide written permission from the SIG leaders to submit a symposium.

Diversity and inclusion are organizational priorities of IASP, and programming must ensure representation of all members. IASP encourages and promotes participation, accessibility, active representation, and leadership from diverse populations, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, economic status, disability, age, and religion. Beyond promoting diversity, the association promotes an environment that is supportive of all diverse groups in the interest of advancing science.
