General Requirements
You can only submit one application.
Applicants must be a current IASP member at the time of application. You will be required to provide your IASP member number, which will be verified.
Applications will be accepted from:
IASP members and trainee members in lower-middle and upper-middle income countries.
IASP trainee members in high-income countries.
Note: A trainee is defined as a person currently in training, such as a student, intern, resident, fellow, or postdoc. Applicants will be categorized based on the country in which they are presently working, studying, or living, to determine eligibility and award amounts.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a poster abstract to present at the World Congress to be considered for financial aid. If you submit your poster abstract before completing your financial aid application, you will be asked to include the poster confirmation number in your application.
No one will be fully funded to attend the 2026 World Congress on Pain. Financial aid is intended to provide free registration and financial support to offset costs, but it does not completely cover travel expenses.
Applicants must complete the entire application. You can save a partial application and return before the deadline to finish and submit.
If you receive financial aid but cannot attend the World Congress, there will be no reimbursement.
To Apply
Applicants will need to provide the following:
Abstract ID/Title, if submitted, or explanation why you did not submit an abstract.
Career information, including a CV.
Funding history and prior attendance information.
Answers to the following essay questions:
Why do you wish to attend the World Congress?
